[Bearbeiten] Staffel 4 Anmerkungen

  • In einem Interview mit Buddy.tv diskutierten die ausführenden Schreiber und Produzenten den Ausstrahlungstermin für Staffel 4:

Carlton Cuse: I think basically the plan though is to do it in the spring of next year.

Damon Lindelof: Well actually January or February of next year, so the late Winter. In the beginning of the calendar year of 2008. No one was happy with the six episodes …and now that the show is on at 10 o’clock, I think everyone’s plan, barring any last minute changes from the network, is to air the show in a continuous run like 24 in the sort of spring television season.

Datum Quelle Spoiler

[Bearbeiten] Episode 4x02

Episode 402 will air on February 11, 2008. It is rumoured to be Jack or Locke-Centric.

Source Spoiler
8-6-07: DarkUFO A new character in episode 402 is Charlotte. Casting info: Late 20s. Very attractive in a naturalistic, athletic way, her looks are only one small part of charms. Precocious, loquacious, and funny, Charlotte a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world. On a personal level it is hard to crack the hard shell of poise and certainty around her, but when it DOES crack it's like an egg: lots of repressed and pent up emotions spill out. Charlotte has a recurring arc with a possible option for series regular for next season.
8-13-07: secretagentman @ TWoP Arthur Stevens will be appearing in the second episode.
8-23-07: Watch With Kristin Creepmaster Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan) is doing eight eps of Lost this season
8-23-07: Watch With Kristin Rebecca Mader will have a major recurring role in Season 4.... perhaps as the much discussed Charlotte?

9-10-07: Ben_Linus via DarkUFO An eyewitness has seen a fairly big boat docked at the end of the Hawaiian Waikāne Pier, while the Lost-crew was filming. Naveen Andrews was sitting in the foreground, watching the filming.
9-11-07: Ryan in Hawaii via DarkUFO An eyewitness has seen Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and -apparently- Lance Reddick (Arthur Stevens) at the Laniakea YWCA in downtown Honolulu, the mental institution location. Reddick had a doctor's briefcase.
9-12-07: Ryan in Hawaii via DarkUFO Filming was taking place in a small streambed at Judd Trail, up Old Nuuanu Pali Road. A perfectly LOST-y jungle location. There was a major confrontation. Jorge Garcia, Terry O'Quinn, Mira Furlan (in a nice checkerboard flannel-type shirt), Josh Holloway (believed to be the aggressor), Michael Emerson (who appeared to have been on the losing end of a fight), Emilie de Ravin and Blake Bashoff were all present. Of course there was at least one baby being carried around. Later Evangeline Lilly, Matthew Fox and a new guy wearing a vest with a flashing red light on it were spotted. The latter was believed to be Jeremy Davies. N.B.: this means that the radio tower team and the beach party will reunite.
9-12-07: Rebeccah via DarkUFO Jeremy Davies is to play the character called Daniel Faraday
9-13-07: Star Radio In an interview Rebecca Mader (= Charlotte?) said she couldn't tell she was either Dharma or a Freighter. However she revealed that she was on the island. She had been filming a scene in the jungle where she was lying on her back, looking up at some of the main characters.

[Bearbeiten] Episode 4x03

9-15-07: losttv-forum Shooting was seen taking place in Whitmore Village in Wahiawa. They were asking for kids in tattered clothing as extras, Josh Holloway was sighted.
9-19-07: DarkUFO Evangeline Lilly and new man Jeremy Davies were spotted on the coastal rock-set. Kate was wearing the same clothes as in the third season finale. Daniel Faraday (Davies) was carrying (almost) the same satellite phone as Naomi had. He wore a strange black vest with a yellow beacon of sorts attached to it. He also might have been holding a gun.

Later on Matthew Fox and Ken Leung were spotted filming on the coastal rock-set as well. Jack was also wearing the same outfit that the had on in the season 3 finale. Like Daniel, Leung wore a black vest, but this one was attached to a parachute. Nearby lay a helmet. Leung's character apparently just had landed on the Island by parachute and was pointing a gun at a startled Jack.

9-22-07: Hawaii Lost Yahoo Group They were filming in downtown Honolulu. It was supposed to be in Germany: street signs and store fronts were in German, and the German Flag was waving. They had snow (shaved ice) all over the road. Naveen was seen crossing the street several times. Afterwards Naveen and Jack Bender were talking in the street.
9-25-07: Jay & Jack Ramblecast In a podcast Jorge Garcia said that the filming of episode 403 had been very physical.
9-27-07: The Honolulu Advertiser Saturday 22nd, singer Azure McCall taped a speaking part on "Lost," opposite new cast member Ken Leung. Honolulu’s “First Lady of Jazz” is a top-notch professional jazz and R&B singer.
10-24-07: Brazilian blog LostInLost The third episode is called "The Economist", it is a Sayid-centric episode and will feature a flash-forward. In the future, Sayid will be living in Germany with a girlfriend called Elsa, she is mad at him because he refuses to tell her about his very mysterious new job. On island, Hurley will be kidnapped. A couple of losties move to Othersville and hear some noise. Kate realises that the noise is coming from Juliet's house -, and and finally finds Hurley stuck inside the closet. Ken Leung plays Miles. Sayid and Locke realize there is something wrong with newcomers Miles, Faraday and Charlotte – whom look like to be Naomi's partners -, but don't know what to do with them and don't agree. While Sayid wants to go to the freighter with Charlotte - it appears that she'll get a boat to get back to the HQ -, Locke prefers to trust in Ben, who said that he's got a spy on the boat. Kate and Sawyer will pass through a misunderstanding.
11-12-07: 4th season trailer The promo shows Hurley closed up in a room. He is panicking. A shot of water pouring in through a valve (like what happened in the Looking Glass). Hurley running through the jungle yelling for help and jumping down from a hill. Hurley discovering Jacob's cabin. Inside, the light is on and there are unidentified artifacts displayed on the wall. Flashes of Juliet, Claire, and of grim looking Jin, Sayid and Desmond as well. Then a bloody-faced Ben saying "I have information you need." There is also a flash of the Hydra-logo displayed on some kind of button and of a Polar bear-skull

[Bearbeiten] Episode 4x04

Episode 404's title is yet unknown. It is supposed to be Kate-centric. It will air on February 25, 2008.

Source Spoiler
9-19-07: Ausiello via DarkUFO Episode 4 will introduce three new characters, all guest stars, not recurring, presumably for someone’s flashback (or flash-forward). They are a fortysomething corporate shark who’s willing to put his lofty job on the line to get an even loftier one, his female counterpart and the old-timer who will decide their fates.
9-19-07: Sam G via DarkUFO LOST, Episode #404

Shoots: 9/25 - 10/6/07

Mark Forrester
All ethnicities, 40s, nice looking, a cocky, not afraid to argue corporate player willing to risk his position for a promotion in a company buy-out.

Melissa Waters
All ethnicities, 40s, attractive, self-assured and formidable. Successful in a man's world and competing against a co-worker for a highly-valued promotion in a company buy-out.

Arthur Galzethron
All ethnicities, 60s, wise and fair but doesn't suffer fools gladly. President of a company during a corporate buy-out and must make a decision about an in-house promotion.

9-19-07: Secretagentman via DarkUFO It is Galzethron. And it has nothing to do with Widmore. My 'intel' says the Mark & Melissa characters are competing with one other (possibly the flashbacker of this eps.) for a promotion in Galzethron's company. I didn't post it before because that name sounds so fake.
9-25-07: Ryan@The Transmission Lost is back at the historic YWCA on Richards Street in downtown Honolulu. It was again an interior shoot, closed set. But, trailers indicated accommodations for "Jack" and "Hurley". Since it seems unlikely Hurley and Jack met prior to the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, chances are they were filming one of the promised flash forwards.
9-28-07: Hawaii Blog For at least the third time within a week, the production crew for “LOST” returned to the historic Laniakea YWCA building on Richards Street. Evangeline Lilly was spotted at the location, as well an unknown actress, who took a smoke break out on the balcony. Dressed in a business-set, she fits the description for Melissa Waters.
9-29-07: Watch with Kristin In Episode 4 we find out if Kate is pregnant
10-03-07: Ask Ausiello Multiple sources confirm that Episode 4 is a Kate-centric outing
10-05-07: Hawaii Blog “LOST” is settling in for another big shoot at the downtown YWCA. One set bears a faint resemblance to a courtroom, complete with judge’s bench, witness stand, and bar.

There are two locations being used -- the now familiar YWCA, and the basement of the Hawaii State Capitol. More significantly, at least one of these shoots is for a scene taking place in Los Angeles. There were armed L.A. police and Sheriff's uniforms about, as well as scruffy members of the media among the extras.

10-05-07: Mike@DarkUFO An eyewitness went down to the State Capitol Building and saw the filming of a scene involving Kate in a flashback/forward. In the scene, Kate is stepping out of a Town Car which is escorted by police. The building was set to the Los Angeles Criminal Court. When she steps out of the car, there are dozens of camera/news reporters snapping pictures and trying to get an interview. One person even yelled “MURDERER” at her character.
10-08-07: Hawaii Blog The filming of the following scene was witnessed: Down in the underground parking lot for the capitol building, near the guard booth and lower entrance off Miller St., a clean-shaven, leather-jacket wearing Jack has a brief conversation with the striking, poised Kate we saw at the end of Season 3. Jack steps away from an older, brown pickup truck to talk to Kate. There’s some awkwardness, but there are also some smiles. Eventually, Jack helps Kate get into a yellow taxi cab, and watches as it drives away.

10-29-07: Jorge Garcia's Weblog Jorge: As shocking as these scripts have been for us, nothing has shocked us more than the end of episode 7.
10-29-07: Hawaii Blog The production crew descended upon old Kaimuki, taking over the “Toys N Joys” store on Waialae Ave. The set crew covered up brand names and logos with random Korean art and signs. Jin was filmed running into the Korean toystore. Details of what transpired behind the store’s cluttered windows involved a big, plushy pandabear.
10-30-07: Hawaii Blog Filming took place behind the barbed wire fence of the Oahu Community Correctional Center. Overheard crew chatter touched on the arrival of Faraday.
11-01-07: Hawaii Blog A street scene appears to be the exterior counterpart to the toy store scene they filmed the day before. Jin comes running and ducks into the toystore. Later he comes out the door with the giant stuffed pandabear. He’s helping his plushy new pal into a taxi cab when a guy speeding past on a blue moped knocks his cell phone out of his hand. As he stoops to pick it up, the taxi cab takes off with someone else inside. Jin runs after the cab, yelling angrily, and to no avail. Cursing, he smashes his phone to bits on the street.

After this filming, the crew had to rush off to report to the day’s second shoot: a scene with Sun … at a funeral.

11-07-07: Ask Ausiello Carlton Cuse: "Zoe Bell definitely will make a splash."
11-12-07: Daniel Dae Kim @ My Space Daniel Dae Kim: Fans of the show will be happy to know that we're wrapping up filming on episode seven, which happens to be a Sun/Jin episode, called "Ji Yeon."
11-12-07: Foxysmile @ DarkUFO 'Ji-yeon' is the name of Sun and Jin's baby.
11-18-07: GDA Elizabeth Mitchell: "Yesterday I was reading the script of the episode that comes after the one dedicated to my character. I cried a lot, because I learned something that I didn't like finding out about".
11-21-07: Ask Ausiello Episode 7 is a Jin-Sun episode that features a flashforward element.

11-10-07: Watch with Kristin At the end of the eighth episode, is there any sense of conclusion whatsoever? Lindelof: "It's as much of a conclusion as, say, Ana-Lucia and Libby getting shot."
11-12-07: Ryan at Hawaii Blogg Kewalo Basin, the small commercial harbor in Kaka’ako, was transformed into the Port of Suva, Fiji’s largest port and gateway to its capital city. It was hard to miss the huge “PORT OF SUVA” signs added to the old Kewalo Shipyard building. The freighter Kahana was docked, and a thatched-roof pavilion and Fijian tour bus stood by.
11-13-07: Watch with Kristin Episode eight includes two new characters:

Gus is an "inner-city, unruly character type. He's a sketchy business owner who preys on human weaknesses. Happy to exploit any opportunity he sees"

Noreen is "Very tough on the outside, nurturing on the inside. Confronted with something from her past, she defends herself well, despite the emotional toll."

11-14-07: Ask Ausiello Cynthia Watros (Libby) and Harold Perrineau (Michael) will show up in Episode 8. They might somehow be involved in the mini cliff-hanger.
7-26-07: Comic Con San Diego Michael will probably have a redemptive story.
11-14-07: Ducky does TV Filming took place on the first floor of an empty hotel overlooking the Harbour near Waikiki Beach. They were using the swimming pool area, as well. Characters on scene were Hurley and Sun.
11-15-07: Ryan @ Hawaii Blog In Chapin Lane the crew recreated a busy street of New York. Christmas lights were strung everywhere, and people were bundled up for the winter cold. A green newsstand and a New York Yellow Cab stood nearby, as well as other older cars fitted with New York plates. Smoke machines blanketed the ground with white fog. Michael (Harold Perrineau) seemed to be the center of attention. His clean cut look suggested that this was a flashback. In a narrow alley he met Tom (M.C. Gainey). And wasn't a friendly encounter, either, involving a gun and a fistfight. The scene possibly featured Michael's car crash.
11-18-07: GDA Harold Perrineau: "When I left the show, the idea was always that my character would come back. And I was told as well that he would be very different.

4.18.08: ABC Sneak Peek [2]
  • Ben spielt Piano, plötzlich stürzen Locke und Saywer rein. Locke fragt, was "Code 14J" bedeutet.
4.21.08 ABC Sneak Peak 2 [3]
  • Jack is taking some antibiotics when Kate enters the his tent. Jack tells her that he has an stomach bug and the two talk. After a while of mild flirting, Kate asks why the freighter hasn't made it to the beach yet and Jack tells her that he has a gut feeling that they'll make it off the island but Kate points out that he said his gut was sick. The two laugh and then hear a distressed voice calling for help outside along with Vincent barking senseless. The voice belongs to Bernard and Kate, Jack and Juliet, who also heard Bernard, run towards him. The camera looks down to see a body of an almost-bald man with a lab coat washing up to shore. Bernard tells them that he heard the dog barking and went over to investigate. As Jack and others begin to lift the body, the Sneak Peak ends.
4.21.08 ABC Sneak Peak 3 [4]
  • Locke, Sawyer and Hurley holding Aaron all sit in Locke's house playing risk when all of a sudden the telephone rings. The three look extremely suspicious as Locke gets up to find out who is on the other line. Locke answers the phone and a woman's voice repeats over and over again "Code 14J". Locke is bewildered and Hurley asks who it is as the scene cuts to that of the ABC Sneak Peak 1.
4.21.08 ABC Sneak Peak 4 [5]
  • Hurley is still holding Aaron in Locke's house while Locke and Ben barracade the front door with a bookcase. Locke tells Hurley to get away from the window as Hurley asks how Sawyer is going to get back in and Ben informs him that he won't. Outside, Sawyer is armed with a gun and walks around the barracks and comes across Doug holding firewood. Sawyer asks if he has seen Claire leave her house at all but Doug doesn't answer the question and is confused. Suddenly, Doug is shot right in the middle of his chest and dies, blood spraying all over Sawyer. A blonde woman comes out of the house to look at Doug's body and Sawyer yells at her to get inside but is too late as she is also shot and killed. Another man comes out of the house to observe the two dead bodies and before Sawyer can even finish warning to get back inside, the man is also shot and killed. Sawyer runs through the Barracks screaming for Claire and narrowly dodges gunfire, using a picnic table as a barrier. Sawyer unsuccessfully shoots into the vegetation hoping to hit somebody. Sawyer continues to call for Claire and makes it just outside her house as he sees what looks like some sort of bazooka fire towards Claire's house. Sawyer gives one final scream and runs in vain to Claire's house as it explodes. Sawyer can not believe it and continues to scream Claire's name. Suspensful music is heard and the sneak peak ends.

  • A scene being filmed at the drab, decrepit concrete Waimano Home complex takes place in a hospital maternity ward. Wardrobe seemed decidedly rooted in the 1950s, from the hospital staff to the dapperly dressed men and women scattered around the set. • Workers returned to the old Waimano Home in Pearl City, where Locke’s birth (and an apparent visit by Richard Alpert) was filmed the day before. The set was apparently a different part of the facility… but both Terry O’Quinn (John Locke) and Lance Reddick (Matthew Abbadon) were seen in the neighborhood.
  • That same day scenes were recorded high in the mountains. They were filming an on-island scene along Manoa Falls Trail, complete with mysterious DHARMA door in the grassy hillside. Josh Holloway (Sawyer), Emilie DeRavin (Claire), Daniel Dae Kim (Jin), Yunjin Kim (Sun), Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) and Jeremy Davies (Daniel) were all traipsing through the jungle.
  • at Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, the young extras were dressed in 1960s fashions (brown gingham dresses and high socks), including several cheerleaders… Attention was focused on a young man with brown hair, a collared shirt, and a severe countenance. It was John Locke at sixteen, having an intense conversation with a teacher, a green “Cowin Heights Knights” school crest hanging over his shoulder. Let’s just say our “Man of Faith” has had issues with science for a long time.
  • Witnesses reported several “gorgeous” 1950s or 1960s cars and a dramatic scene in which a little girl (perhaps five years of age) runs out of a house and gets struck in the street.

Sayid is sure they won't let it happen again, the next time they go back. Captain Gault walks to them and Omar, who stands guard, that Keamy wants him in the armory. Omar says he isn't supposed to let them out of his sight, to which the captain replies that "he'll watch them". Omar leaves, while grabbing his phone. The captain then tells Desmond and Sayid to hide in a pantry under the gully. Sayid asks if Michael is dead, to which the captain answers no - and that is exactly the reason they have to hide. Doc Ray can be seen in the background. Sayid asks for the ship's "Zodiac raft", saying the only way to save their lives is to get their people off the island and on to the boat.

5.05.08 Sneak Peek #3 ABC
  • Michael is lying on the floor of a room on the freighter with a bloody lip. Frank helps him up, asking why Michael hadn't told him he was a survivor of Flight 815, citing the fact that he was one of the few people who would have believed him. Michael tells Frank it was because his boss had staged the wreckage, which even Frank thinks is a conspiracy. He begs Frank not to bring Keamy back to the island, saying "He's going kill everyone...everyone".
5.07.08 Sneak Peek ABC
  • Locke asks Horace "who are you"; Horace informally answers and mentions that he is on a break from the "DI" - the DHARMA Initiative. Seeing the confused look on Locke's face, Horace laughs and asks if he is making any sense at all, to which Locke replies "No". Smiling, Horace turns his back to Locke, only to turn to him again, bleeding from his nose, and reply "That's probably because I've been dead for twelve years".

  • An elaborate funeral scene was shot. All of the Ocean Six were present and accounted for.
4.28.08: Popular Mechanics The producers:
  • The Orchid Dharma orientation film was set up for where we were going in our season finale.
  • Our characters are in fact going to discover the Orchid and see a bit more of that film. There will be plenty to sort of fact check and debunk on that axis.
  • We can say that we've been very interested in these physicists who have been building this particle accelerator in the Alps, and there's been a lot of debate and concern about what's going to happen when they start smashing these particles into each other.
4.28.08: ABC
8.05.08: AICN
  • Widmore’s freighter fiends, as one might guess, do not rescue the Oceanic Six. Desmond may come very close to becoming one of the Oceanic Seven. The finale will depict the arrival on the American mainland of the Oceanic Six, as well as the funeral of Christian Shephard. And we’ll learn more about why Jack is so hot to return to Dharma Island.

3.21.08: Podcast The producers:
  • The secret production code name for the finale twist is "The Frozen Donkey Wheel."

4.11.08 EW.com Damon Lindelof:
  • The finale will complicate the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle by featuring 'a spectacular kiss' and elaborate on Jack's flash-forward ambition to journey back to the Island. "This year's finale will sum up exactly how difficult it may be to accomplish that."
4.13.08 US Weekly Damon Lindelof

4.22.08 Honolulu Star Bulletin The producers:
  • Locke and Jack represent the two philosophical poles of the show. "The conflict between those guys is really the central conflict on our show. And there's a big culmination of that taking place in the season finale."
  • Look for a resolution in the Jack/Kate/Sawyer drama. Obviously, Sawyer is not one of the Oceanic Six; Jack and Kate are. What happens in the finale "is all on the axis of the love triangle".

  • Greg Grunberg will reprise his role as Oceanic pilot Seth Norris in the two-hour season finale.
  • That same episode will feature the introduction of another pilot, a "young Top Gun type" who, per the casting sheet, doesn't like it when his copilot brings a lucky charm aboard.

4.23.08 Hawaii Blog Ryan Ozawa Set report
  • A huge crowd of extras reported to the old Barbers Point Naval Air Station in Kalaeloa, taking part in a scene involving the return of the Oceanic Six to the outside world.
  • Their rescue is a huge media circus, with a throng of reporters and photographers on hand as they step off a military transport plane that brought them back to the United States. Via Honolulu.
  • The filming focused on an elaborate Oceanic Airlines-coordinated press conference. Or, as my sources put it, “a big press con.” The world’s media was there for answers, as well as several familiar faces: Veronica Hamel (Margo Shephard), Cheech Marin (David Reyes) and Lillian Hurst (Carmen Reyes).
  • Questions asked included: Ms. Austen, how old is Aaron? Ms. Kwon, what happened to your husband? Mr. Reyes, what of your fortune, and this hefty airline settlement?
  • The press is skeptical of the official story.
  • Hurley’s hackles are raised by a query that’s been raised by viewers and comedians alike since Season 1.
  • Sayid toes the line, but isn’t happy about it.
  • The Oceanic Six make surprising mention of some long, lost friends. Three of them, at least, whose deaths occurred in each of the first three seasons.
4.26.08 Hawaii Blog Ryan Ozawa Set report
  • Filming took place at Hurley’s mansion as last seen in “Tricia Tanaka is Dead.” A group of extras was spotted wearing party hats, loud shirts and plastic lei… it certainly looked as if Hurley has something to celebrate. Sayid, Nadia, Hurley and Aaron were spotted on set.
4.28.08 Watch with Kristin Kristin Dos Santos:
  • There's a supersecret Sawyer scene in the finale.
4.29.08 AICN Michael Emerson:
  • Ben centers in the “secret scenes” in the season finale.
5.02.08 Hawaii Blog Ryan Ozawa Set Report
  • At the arid, rural west coast of O’ahu a a scene was shot on sea, featuring a large, octagonal life raft. Hurley, Sun, Jack, Kate, Sayid and Desmond swim toward the Zodiac raft through some debris. Hurley — clutching Aaron - helps pull Kate, Sun, and Sayid aboard. But Jack and Desmond take a little longer to reach them. And Desmond is holding someone who’s not moving.

  • In the two-hour season finale we will find out just how the Oceanic Six escaped, the circumstances of why the others were left behind, and why they had to keep what happened to them a secret when they returned to the real world. Don't be surprised if the Grim Reaper strikes again, targeting one of our favorite castaways...
